These are the first 2 issues from the AC Collector Classics and is titled 'Cliffhanger Comics" 1A featuring The Masked Marvel on the cover, and 2A with Don Winslow of the Coast Guard (Navy) on the cover. Each issue features a new story featuring the Republic Serial movie character The Masked Marvel, Bob Barton. Each story features new art and not photo reprints, but illustrated stories done in the vein of the original 1943 Serial of the same name. Both issues feature stories involving Don Winslow of the Navy, and the Western character Rocky Lane, both of whom have had their own comics from other companies. Other issues exist but the first ones in the series are 1A and 2A. This Masked Marvel character should not be confused with other comic book characters of the same name.
