Indrajal Comics Logo 1 The editors of Indrajal Comics earlier published a self-titled series in India to issue # 443 . In 1983 the publishers decided to use a volume and number typical of periodical publications starting with the 2nd January 1983 issue. Hence, # 444 was identified as Vol.20 No.1 on the cover as the new starting series number and # 805 (Vol.27 No.8 published on 16 April 1990) was the last. The front cover design was also changed (starting with issue # 789 Vol.26 No.33), with the introduction of the distinctive Indrajal Comics banner. Some issues were reprints of older stories from the previous Indrajal Comics Volume , with new cover art. Indrajal Comics Logo 2 Like the previous series, The Phantom dominated the number of stories, but characters like Mandrake , Flash Gordon , Bahadur , Kerry Drake , Rip Kirby , Phil Corrigan , Garth , Mike Nomad , Buz Sawyer , Bruce Lee , Aditya and Dara also had stories presented.
