Valeria Medina (vera del monte)

Valeria Medina (stage name Vera del Monte) is a screenwriter, director, actor, and set designer.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she currently lives in Palermo Hollywood, Buenos Aires City.

She studied Theater Direction and Dramatic Arts at the UNA (National University of the Arts) in Buenos Aires. She obtained a scholarship to study Screenwriting at the ENERC (National School of Experimentation and Filmmaking) in Buenos Aires. She took various courses in poetry writing, screenwriting, directing actors, set design, interior design, and landscaping.

She studied acting with teachers such as Norman Briski, Inés Efrón and Julián Lucero, Vanina Passeri, and Javier Dovico, among others.

She has made independent short films that touch on themes such as family, drama, coming-of-age, gender, and romance.

In 2019, her short film "Mabel" was selected for the 33rd Mar del Plate International Film Festival, winning the 3rd Georges Méliès Prize.
