De drie zussen Michelle, Maggie en Anita wonen samen in Hong Kong en runnen een detectivebureau genaamd “Detective Agency: The Three Sisters”. Bovendien zijn ze alle drie papiergebruikers, wat betekent dat ze papier naar eigen inzicht kunnen manipuleren.
